Welcome to Feger Furnishings! Thank you for visiting us! Here, you'll find that we create unique, handmade modern farmhouse decor with purposeful design. By incorporating light, airy, and neutral colors with natural wood grain, these furnishings work with any decor but add a personal, handmade touch. Who we are My name is Mary; my husband is Bryan. I'm a business savvy crafter who likes to get things done; he's a detailed planner who likes to build and tinker. Together we make a great team! When we're not working in the woodshed, you can find us playing with our son, in the garden, watching our chickens (and I love my chickens!), playing tennis or volleyball, hiking, or perusing second-hand stores, thrifts, or farmers markets. Oh, or we may be playing hide-and-seek with our kitty, Miley Moo. Our creations are inspired by our desire to live simply and grow our own in North Carolina! We are so honored to have the opportunity to be creative and supply you with beautiful, unique decor in your home. How it really began We had an awkward space in our home that we wanted to fill with something unique and personal to us. Because we both love our home state of North Carolina, we created our first North Carolina silhouette. By suspending the sign under our TV, the piece made the awkward space a focal point in our living room. Our Friends began requesting them for their homes and as gifts for their families. While making different iterations of the NC silhouette for our friends, we began crafting other types of wood-based decor that fit our style. Serendipitously, other life events allowed us to turn our passion for creating handmade wood furnishings into a business. We greatly appreciate the encouragement and support of our friends and family. With the welcome of our son in 2020 we have scaled back our operations and currently focus on our wood storage racks. Professional Bio Mary has worked the past 10 years in the banking industry and, after working in corporate many long hours, weeks, and weekends, she decided to take her life in a new direction and focus on growing a family, volunteering, farming, nurturing animals, creating decor, and living a more healthy lifestyle . She started Feger Furnishings at the end of 2016 and after one year in business is now selling on the Etsy, Amazon, Feger Furnishings website, and a handful of retail stores.
