The beautiful Extra Large handmade Antiqued Corbels (sold singly) are hand cut and painted to capture the natural beauty of true antique corbels while at the same time offering structural integrity that often lacks in the old ones that have been pulled off older homes.
For those of you that have searched for true antique corbels, you already know how expensive and hard to find they are. In addition, if you are looking for more than one corbel that match, the price and difficulty goes up tremendously! We created this line to solve this problem.

These large corbels are made of solid wood and these are big and long enough to be seen under larger overhangs.

Hangers:
Hangers are not included because of the multiple uses of these corbels and various methods to hang them based on their purpose. We recommend keyhole hangers (found at any local hardware store) to lock them flush against the wall and overhang. The location of your hanger will depend if you are putting it on a pre-existing overhang that cannot be removed and set atop the corbel once installed or not.
Important: When using keyhole hangers it is best to use a router to make sure the keyhole hanger is flush with the back of the corbel and does not stick out, otherwise your corbel will stand off the wall.
Tips for hanging:
-For preexisting overhangs if you can screw into the overhang (ie: a thick wood mantle/shelf): hanging from the top of the corbel with a keyhole hanger will allow you to get the corbel flush against the top and wall or using keyhole hangers sideways on the back of the corbel will also allow you to get the corbels flush against a preexisting overhang and wall.
-For pre-existing overhangs that you cannot or do not want to screw into: use keyhole hangers sideways on the back of the corbel which will allow you to place the corbels flush against a preexisting overhang and wall.
-For new shelving that is not pre-existing: place keyhole hangers on the back of the corbels that will face the wall (you will want to make sure you get keyhole hangers that will support the weight you plan for the corbels to hold. They are made of solid wood so you can put very long screws into the middle piece of wood if needed.
